RiCES Guide

Gene ID Systems

RiCES starts analysis based on gene list that users specified. First of all, users should list genes of interest by their prededent work.

IDs should be put into "User's Gene(TU) List" box in the form of the starting page. They should be separated by linfeeds like:

R01-TIGRv4S1-001073F
R03-TIGRv4S1-001316F
R12-TIGRv4S1-000792F
R07-TIGRv4S1-000040F
R12-TIGRv4S1-000433F

or spaces like:

R01-TIGRv4S1-001073F R03-TIGRv4S1-001316F R12-TIGRv4S1-000792F R07-TIGRv4S1-000040F R12-TIGRv4S1-000433F

RiCES currently supports following gene ID systems:

TIGR ver.4 TU ID(tu_tigr)
TIGR ver.4 Locus ID(loc_tigr)
IRGSP TU ID(tu_rap)
IRGSP and Locus ID(loc_rap)
GenBank Accession Number(genbank)

All IDs from users are automatically and internally translated into IDs of TIGR TU IDs. RiCES rejects the gene IDs without corresponding TIGR TUs, and.performs all analyses based on TIGR TU IDs.

Users have to specify more than two acceptable gene IDs. If your list contains IDs of ID systems other than TIGR TU, some of members might not have corresponding TU ID.

The result page will contain the association table of original IDs that users specified and TU IDs lead by them and applied to analyses.

Example IDs

genbank AK058203
tu_tigr R01-TIGRv4S1-001073F
locus_tigr LOC_Os01g45274
tu_rap R01-IRGSPb3S1-001074F
locus_rap Os01g0639900
